UTSI would like to wish wish you all a very happy holiday season.
We have so many exciting things on the horizon for UTSI in 2014. First, we are so happy to welcome Aitor, Nuria, and family to Finca Carolina. They will be managing the farm for us while launching a new volunteer program. These high energy folks will serve as excellent hosts, guides, teachers, gardeners, and stewards of the land. We are also proud to announce that we will be offering our guided waterfall, Permaculture, and birdwatching tours again this year.
Next, we are happy to welcome back our friends from the University North Carolina Asheville for their bi-annual Tropical Ecosystems Field Excursion. I will be leading their group of 12 students and professors on a 14 day journey through many of Costa Rica’s diverse ecosystems from December 29th-Jan 10. We have forged a new alliance with Costa Rican NGO Fundación Neotropica. We are looking forward to visiting their environmental education center in Rincon, on the Osa Penninsula. Their focus is on ecological conservation and promoting locally owned sustainable agri and eco-touristic endeavors.
So, 2014 promises to be a fruitful year for UTSI. Stay tuned here at www.utsi.org
May all of your dreams come true in 2014!
